For the last few years, NCECA has been working on a video project to commemorate and celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Since Houston, we have been capturing memories and stories from quite a few of our members. The goal is to put these together to tell the story of NCECA’s first 50 years. It is getting more and more exciting as the date gets closer.
We have such a wonderful and rich history. It has truly been my pleasure to have worked on this project for the last two years and had the opportunity to hear these first hand accounts. I look forward to sharing them with you.
Each year at the conference, I try to really focus on one niche, but I also like to open it up to the general membership. This is YOUR NCECA and we need YOUR voice too! So, if you’d like to be included, send me a message! While I’ve got your attention, we’re also looking for ways to lower the overall budgetary impact of this project. The BEST way to help is to make a donation toward our 50th Anniversary (If every person reading this blog post donated $25, we could fully fund this project!)
You can also help by sending in photos, or even video footage you might have of conferences past. It would also be great to have a team of students/volunteers/interns who would be willing to screen the video interviews and index the footage. We could use some good writers to help craft the voiceover text that will tie all the pieces together. And I’d really love to have original music for this video so composers and musicians…I know you’re out there! If any of this is of interest to you, let me know in the form below!
