NCECA supports its members is by providing opportunities to engage in international programs. Intercultural exchange of ideas and methods is critical to evolution of individual artists who through their immersion and experimentation, absorb and sometimes transform influences of other artists and their cultures. Global interface continues to play an important role in NCECA’s efforts to sustain and advance a vibrant ceramic art and education community.
NCECA’s 2020 partners for Artist in Residence are the Medalta in the Historic Clay District of Medicine Hat in Alberta, Canada and C.R.E.T.A Rome (Ceramics, Residencies, Exhibitions,Teaching & the Arts) Italy!!
In support of selected artist, NCECA provides an award of $3,750 for each residency, and the partnering art center supports the artists through in-kind and/ or monetary support subject to their available resources. Specific support and anticipated budget’s are located on the NCECA international residency webpage. Generally residency’s are one to two months long and will take place during 2020.
