The ceramics community is a tight knit and welcoming one, but coming to the conference can be overwhelming whether it is your first or forty-first one. With this in mind and to help you make the most of the conference, we have several sessions to assist.
Wednesday there will be an orientation for newbies, lead by the vivacious Communications Director Cindy Bracker. She will help make sense of the program guide, our app and the other exciting happenings at the 50th Anniversary NCECA.
Another shift in NCECA programming will be that NCECA Connections and Topical Discussions are moving to Wednesday. By holding these early on, this will hopefully allow you find like-minded folks to hang out with the rest of the conference. So after the bus tours and wandering the Resource Hall, you can join up with one of the groups to find a kindred spirit to see lectures and exhibitions with. The idea is to find new friends from across the world; to share artwork, workshop adventures, lesson ideas, glaze recipes, kiln disasters and triumphs.
