As you may be aware, NCECA is nearing its 50th anniversary celebration in Kansas City in 2016. We have been able to alter the culture of giving within the organization with the help of training sessions through the Annenberg Foundation. Last year we exceeded a goal of $10,000 raised solely from 2014 NCECA board member financial donations, and we came darn close to that mark the year before. We have many exciting things planned to celebrate and mark the anniversary of NCECA at 50, which is a pinnacle arrived at from years of dedicated members.
Help NCECA celebrate 50 years
Through creative partnership with the Chipstone Foundation, NCECA introduced innovations in 2014 conference programming. A new series of accessible online lectures is now being produced in cooperation with the 92nd Street Y. NCECA presentations at SOFA-Chicago, College Art Association and the New York Ceramics and Glass Fair will further extend the impact of clay culture’s contemporary presence year-round. None of this would be possible without your support and grants from the Annenberg Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Windgate Charitable Foundation, and the Lighton Family Foundation. All of us together believe that NCECA makes an important difference in the lives of ceramic artists and in our culture.
