About Vince Pitelka
Vince Pitelka is professor of art and head of the clay program at Tennessee Technological University's Appalachian Center for Craft. He has been professionally involved in clay for over forty years starting with ten years as a full-time studio potter in Northern California. He has a BA in art from Humboldt State and an MFA in clay from University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and exhibits and teaches workshops internationally. He is a regularly columnist in Clay Times magazine, and his book "Clay: A Studio Handbook" was published in 2001 by American Ceramic Society.
