NCECA would like to Welcome, Gerald Brown as our new Social Media Curator.
“I am overjoyed to be selected as the new Social Media Curator for The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA). I hope to bring my expertise and lived experiences for fostering community and art accessibility to the organization. As an active artist and art administrator in the field, I am eager to work on initiatives that expand the range of artists we connect with as well as develop innovative ways to support the growth of the broader ceramics arts community. Through the co-founding and development of The Clay Siblings’ Project, a non-profit initiative providing free ceramic workshops around the country, I have gained a unique perception of how the field of ceramic education is evolving. And I am compelled to share these discoveries with a broader audience. In seeing this organization as a student, non-profit partner, presenter, gallery expo staff, and project space coordinator, I could not be more excited to use my skills now to serve as a staff member working to create purposeful, long-lasting change.” – Gerald Brown
